Fourth of July in Canoga Park

There are endless options for Fourth of July celebrations and fireworks all over southern California, but if you want to stick close to Canoga Park check out the annual Dennis P. Zine July 4th Extravaganza in Woodland Hills. It’s a massive festival with food booths, free concerts, a play zone for kids and of course one of the best fireworks displays in town.

On July 4, arrive at 6 p.m. for the celebrations with the fireworks and live music kicking off at 9:08 p.m. It’s located at Warner Park, 5800 Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Woodland Hills. Admission is free, but if you want to park in the convenient Warner Center structures, the fee is $20.

Seeking Fun and Fireworks

A short drive from Canoga Hills is the July 4th Barn Dance and BBQ at Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga. It’s a smaller event, but full of classic, nostalgic Fourth of July fun. Here, you’ll be treated to a barn dance and barbeque in the charming cove of Topanga Canyon. There are games for little ones, a pie-eating contest, cake walk, relay races, watermelon seed spitting contest and more.

Don’t miss out on the incredible beer and wine pairings at this early event scheduled from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for kids. You won’t want to miss out on the horseshoes, dunk bucket and other traditional summer festivities.
